Weird. I felt safe at any time, night or day, in Seoul or elsewhere and back then it was a semi-third-world country. Safer than here.

Welcome to Obama’s fundamentally transformed world.

Where no one is safe.

1965-66 ... drunker'n JIT ... stumbling "home" to the 51st .... picked up by a taxi of some sort and dropped off at the gate ... woke up stinkin' of puke in my bunk and all my wallet, money and et cetera still there

Last thing I remember was drinkin' BangYang whiskey in a bar with a whore

I NEVER felt insecure or threatened .... actually, I think the South Koreans still had some respectful love for us GI's at that time
