I’ve seen this Tom Cole guy. He’s Boehner’s Howdy Doody.
It’s good that there are more “battles looming”. The GOP is still looking for a battle to “pick and chose” from. Trying to decide when to stand and fight for what is right can be really hard when you’re a Republican.
The GOP leadership has mastered pathetic.

Why bother waiting for the debt limit bill. They are only going to approve more money and then say they will fight them the next time around.
Hastert rule is intact because this is exactly how the vast majorority of GOP rank & file wanted this to go down. They wanted a meaningless No vote with the Dems covering them and guaranteeing passage of amnesty.
This cake was baked back in December when Cromnibus was crammed down. It’s all beltway theater now. GOP has surrendered until 2016.
