There could never be enough money for the Philadelphia schools. You could give them every cent from every pay check in America and they would still cry poor.

I have always enjoyed hearing the Philadelphia Mayor’s last name. Nutter describes most of the Democrats. There isn’t a school district in America that has enough money. Taxpayers could give them 100% of their earnings and the schools would continue to cry they don’t have enough.

God forbid they cut spending. I don’t know what they spend money on. It certainly isn’t plowing snow off the roads or fixing potholes.

Yup, we’ll pay those taxes right after Nutter fires each and every administrative puke in his city associated with education.
How does one tell an admin puke?
Look for folks who had even lower SAT scores than did the teachers.
(But not as low as the city’s politicians, of course. No one has lower scores than those vermin.)

Is that the ENTIRE property tax amount, or just to the city?
It seems lower than I would have expected for Phila Penna.

9.3 percent increase in property taxes to fund the beleaguered School teachers pensions!!!
YOU cannot afford to retire as these city and state and federal people are being funded by YOU.

Wish I was in Philly.
The dumb voters in Washington state passed a “do it for the children” school funding ballot issue last fall and my property taxes have gone up 15% since last year.

I’ve been following politics and government for nearly 60 years. In all that time, I’ve NEVER, EVER heard ANY government body - local, state, or federal - say they have enough.

Philadelphia. Run by mega-liberals. They only have one solution for everything. And every solution is mandatory compliance-based too.

The chitty of Philthydelphia is trying to extort a $140.oo parking ticket from me. I temporarily parked in front of the Rodeway Inn downtown to check in. I didn’t see the no parking sign. They almost towed the vehicle away but still slapped me with a ticket. Charge me $20.oo I’ll pay for ‘my mistake’. Instead they won’t work with me and keep sending me threatening letters to collect the extortion.
They won’t get a dime and they can go- you- know - what themselves.

fund the beleaguered School District The school districts are not "beleaguered." In NJ (as in PA) a great deal of the tax money is sucked up by pensions.

The unionized public school system is 25 -35 years behind the times. Long ago the country should have eliminated tenure, paid for performance, eliminated the departments of education, and allowed for competition thru choice.

Meetings and discussions for both political parties are full of 'em. They're very numerous (most cities, counties, and all states). That's the reason for the current condition of Republican politics.
