Most of us figured it would be temporary and it appears we are right. $2.699 per gallon now, 40 cents more than a mere three weeks ago.

The price of gas can, and will, change over night. All it takes is one “event” somewhere in the world.

Many who benefitted from lower gas prices will be paying much higher heating bills this winter due to the severe winter we are experiencing in many parts of the country.

So all of those high-paying jobs associated with drilling have been lost. This will cause economic turmoil in many localities in the US. So we can watch governments and businesses eat up the savings before the gas gets to the pumps? In the meantime, huge chunks of the globe are destabilized.

We can't catch a break.

price relief on any necessity is a pipe dream. Sure, maybe short term (very short), but increases in everything you need are the norm except for middle income salaries.

Now there have been and will continue to be price drops in thing you don’t need but are cool. Like consumer electronics. And appliances seem to always get a little cheaper.
