Granted some police departments are messed up. With this federalization scheme, however, there would be absolutely no hope of local accountability, and things will be much worse well beyond more “shoot the dog” incidents. There would be more motorists shot while complying with the command “your papers”, more no-knock raids over silly issues.
“Don’t you know who I am? I’m now a Federal Cop! I am the law, therefore I am above the law!” The second someone says that there is no longer law. There is tyranny.

Actually, Fred, When I read this report it seems to substantially reduce the police’s powers through more “Understanding” more “Community development” including being more “Culturally sensitive”.

Built into this report are recommendations that are in-effect “Sensitivity Training”.

But I’m only on page 65 of 117.
