Actually, it’s only his recent record that is bad, from when he started courting the GOP-e. He was a good governor of Florida, much more conservative than W. However, Florida was much more conservative at that time and probably so was the entire US.
He’s okay when he’s in an environment where he’s supported, but if he’s not, or is aiming to move outside of it, he’s very conciliatory and not reliable at all.
Right now, the US needs a leader and doer with vision who will unravel the horrible things Obama has done to the US.
But that doesn’t mean conservatives need to trash and destroy anybody who doesn’t meet those qualifications, because maybe that person would be good at something else in a new administration. I think Jeb Bush would be good at dealing with business and trade matters. Secy of Commerce?
He can be Secretary of New Americans in the Hillary Clinton administration.
