Both were in the hospital. THe family member (adult child) has a major kidney infection, and did not respond to antibiotics. She is on the highest (and most expensive) antibiotic level available and the jury is out on if that will help.

I had stockpiled some of this honey a while ago, and gave her a jar to start taking, 1 tblspn a day to see if that will help aid her recovery (she also has kidneystones that they can't address until the infection is dealt with). In monitoring status with her right now...

THe second is the wife of a good friend, who had elective knee surgery. It got infected, and I dare say she almost lost her life. THey have opened her up again to clean out the infection and also have her on massive doses of high-intensity antibiotics. I want to get a jar to her as well, maybe tomorrow...

If you look at the various NZ sites, there are also topical honeys (UMF 16 and higher) that are available.

I need to restock what I've expended. But depending on the results, I may be ordering a heck of a lot more...even at the high cost.

Thank you and prayers to your family member and friend. I’m somewhat familiar with the honey and have purchased it in the past. I dislike the taste, but have read about its benefits. I’m also familiar with kidney problems as I had my own experience in 2013 with a large abcess and was hospitalized. Please let me know how things go if you care to do so.

When the chicken is taken from the package, it can be placed on the kitchen counter as part of the prep process. The place where the wet chicken containing the evolved superbugs surviving the antibiotic is thus contaminated.

The bugs can then migrate to the cook’s hands or towel or other surface. Once migrated it can continue to be passed along.

You just lost the argument.

I didn't know I was in an argument. I thought we were in a discussion about the origin of superbugs and their routes of access into humans.

Do you know I doubt you even read the article that was posted with this thread?

Tunnel vision? Nah, you're clueless!

I will do my best. With the way the world is going, alternatives to antibiotics are going to become a lifesaver. This specialized honey will be unattainable later on, but having access to and the knowledge of Honey’s benefits may become our lifesaving secret weapon....

You spittle forth with, "The fact that the majority of antibiotics used are for animal husbandry puposes(purposes) proves nothing and certainly no causation"

What an utter piece of deceit that is ... or you're too stupid to realize that the bacteria and fungi are all around us and the more these pathogens are exposed to anti-biotic 'misuse' the more likely are resistant strains arising IN THE ANIMAL POPULATION, AMONG MAMMALS. Humans are, for your edification, mammals.

You are now on the 'list' of suspect propaganda goons at FR.

And as a professional liar, you have craftily omitted the FACT that these same factors are rampant and perhaps even more likely with antibiotic use in animal populations scheduled for human consumption. Yet another piece of evidence that you are here deceiving readers on purpose.

There is an excellent episode of Frontline that deals with this.

The usable lifespan of new antibiotics is now so brief that there is no time for companies to recover the costs of developing these new drugs.

Lipitor is an antibiotic? Who knew?

It is just poor writing. When you re-read, you'll see the author attempts to define two products, the unidentified antibiotic at $2B/yr and Lipitor which actually reached $14B/yr before going off patent.

How do you think we get highly resistant e-coli in spinach? Where do they get the fertilizer to use on crops?

How would you know such a thing lest your masters tell you to believe that so you can self-righteously deceive on sites like FR? You are puke worthy, but I haven’t had my second meal for the day so you’ll have to just stew in your deceits for now.

well, as you have been trained to know, deceit is not always spewing outright lies. Your purposeful misleading posts are deceit, and folks at FR recognize it when they see it, asshat, so try your deceits with some other audience.
