That is surely the effect Reuters wanted out of this statement. I would like to see the entire context of what Walker said, not what Reuters parsed for their story..Expect every chance to be taken by progressives to throw doubt at any conservative that is a threat...Just sayin’

If ethanol were all it’s supporters say it is it wouldn’t need a subsidy and I wouldn’t have had so many problems with small engines. The mileage on the first vehicle I had to use it in dropped 10%.

And I don’t believe we should be using food for fuel.

So Cruz is the only truth teller in Iowa.

Walker is another etch-a-sketch Romney/Reince/Rove boy.

We really need to water down the importance of Iowa.

Go look up his actual remarks. Why are FReepers so easily taken in by the liar media of which Rueters is a leading example. It’s trying to set the route.

From the voice of the one and only 'authentically conservative', 'King of Corn Shuckstering', Governor Scott Walker!

"While I do not support the mandate, I do not have a problem with ethanol...However, it is clear to me that a big government mandate is not the way to support the farmers of this state...Central planning will not help our family farmers, protect our environment, or provide jobs...The free enterprise system must drive innovation to relieve our dependence on foreign oil, not mandates from the state or federal government."

No wonder Romney likes Walker, he's the establishment blessing of 'say one thing one day, say another thing another day', in order to confuse people into voting for them.

Judging by the amount of hypocritical Walker supporters mindlessly shilling for him, I think that they are truly lost in a cornfield maze of Walker lies!

George Bush never did either. In fact, when they came into office, all the staff was told what their attire would be. Nobody went around in jeans and tee shirts.

The left always has a complete contempt for the WH .. and they always manage to treat it with disdain.

After the Clintons, it was accepted leftist behavior.

I don't either. Dinosaurs, Democrats and other fossils. At least until Unicorn tears become economically viable.

“It sure looks like Walker is willing to shift his position to whatever is politically expedient.”

Walker is meeting with the deep pockets contributors and learning what he must do to finance his campaign. His positions will evolve accordingly.

I suspect Palin didn’t run in 2012, and won’t run in 2016, is the money men told her they wouldn’t write the checks.

Cruz will either have to do bend to big money or ultimately flame out. It costs $1 billion to run a campaign to reach the White House today. The $20 checks from individual committed conservatives might get him through the Iowa caucus, and one or two primaries but it won’t win the nomination. As Romney demonstrated to a long list of conservative and pretend conservative candidates in 2012, without deep pockets you cannot win the nomination. One wealthy supporter won’t carry you all the way as Newt Gingrich learned.

If Jeb signs locks down most of the fat cats in the next few months, it won’t matter if Cruz, Walker or anyone else wins Iowa and a couple of the early primaries. He’ll have the money to run a ground and media campaign to blow them out of the water beyond Iowa and New Hampshire.

I like Cruz for his smarts, his passion, what appears to be his ideology, and his backbone. However, unless he finds someone willing to put up several hundred million dollars to fund his campaign, he will not be the nominee. Plus, if he does find the money, he will owe big time. There is no free lunch.

I’m not naïve.

I just cannot fathom Walker being included in your “Republican establishment”.

In order for Walker to be a GOPe, he would never have accomplished what he did in Wisconsin. HE DEFEATED THE UNIONS .. no self-respecting GOPer, would ever attempt that.

So, for that reason, I think you’re way off base lumping Walker in with the “establishment”.

I’m far from off base, Walker has done more flips than flipper the tv dolphin... We’re getting a good idea now who Walker will be beholden to...the Rove wing of the sell-out crony wing of the party. That’s just that, the WalkerBots are trying to prop up a one trick pony on the unions...the rest leaves MUCH to be desired considering the job ahead of us.
