Oh dear, I read the title and knew right away they were talking about Iowa. I am not a huge McCain fan, but I remember back when he ran he would tell them to pound sand.

Ethanol subsidies— pork barrel politics at its worst.

Well, Bush was already off my list, and this just knocks another one off. No problem.

“Hey, if you can’t whore yourself out to the Welfare Corn Queens, you don’t get the nomination. It’s simple math, what’s the big deal?”

This sucking at the government teat by WHITEBTREAD Iowans is no different in principle than welfare cheats in NYC. It may “look” productive, but it isn’t. Economically, it’s like spending a dollar to save 70 cents.

Its time for all these guys to start answering the tough questions. This is a good thing. Nobody but Ted Cruz had the stones to tell the truth. I have said all along that Walker needs to show me the money. So far no deal.

For Walker to win his elections, he was able to persuade establishment RINOS to vote for him in return for his support for the Chamber of Amnesty-Crony-Welfare-Queens.

Remember, Wisconsin is a purple state, full of conservatives, moderates (lesser-of-two-evils), and liberals.

I voted for Walker a couple of times at the Governor-level, but as his record as a conservative sell-out materialized, I decided he was actually working against my own self-interests when he would not stop pandering to illegal invaders, which hurts my own paycheck, endangers my access to quality healthcare, and risks the safety and security of my family, my friends, and neighbors from the imported gangs from southern and central America into Wisconsin.

When he decided to shill for illegal invaders, I suspect most Wisconsin conservatives have already decided his backstabbing would not make him a Reagan-like President.

Only the purple moderate-establishment voters support his run for President because they believe they will gain financially at the expense of the conservative middle-class.

If you are a conservative voter, are you going to really vote against your own self-interests?

“Ethanol subsidies— pork barrel politics at its worst.”

Maybe but the money does mostly go to our supporters and to be frank we need it as a bargaining chip with the left in abolishing/phasing out all subsidies for all industries.

I’ve never been in Walker’s corner .. my choice has always been Cruz .. and I haven’t’ seen any evidence to entice me to change.

Why are you sending this to me ..??

Walker supports phasing out the subsidies.

Whatever you do, don't confuse them by pointing out that both Walker and Cruz support phasing out the subsidies.

The problems with ethanol are:

Whether or not it is subsidized.
What you make it out of (food or trash)
How much it costs to make it.
What climate you use it in.

-NOT-

It damages engines...it’s a waste of livestock feed.

There's a difference between syrups and granulated sugar. The body more easily digests granulated sugar, and it dissolves more easily. The worst HFCS is in frozen foods. It just does not break down at all.

That's one food theory, anyway. I realize you can find a food theory to "prove" any claim or its opposite. One thing I know for sure...staying away from HFCS hasn't hurt my health.

How can you be shocked by an obvious RINO? The candidate has to be the total package and that means honest character and integrity every day. Walker never had it and he is a career politician, if you haven’t noticed. I support him as my governor but he is not who I would choose for president.

How is this worse than another presuming on the body politic for agenda item after agenda item after agenda item as though he were going to be anointed king?

You would take the unkeepable “orthodox promises” over “the best possible thing that can be done” which is the actual real definition of politics?

Hope you got Jesus Christ, the one who went to the, er, cruz, on that ballot.

(Scratching my head in bewilderment) Knowing that Walker is like the other flip-flopping politicians we have had over the years and who treat conservatives as slave-voters, how can you be certain that he will perform as a conservative, and not as an establishment shill? Seriously.

You dared to equate conservatives' faith in Cruz as somehow misguided as compared to faith in Christ, but somehow your faith in Walker will make him the Second Coming of Christ because he can do no wrong?

Cripes, Walker HAS A RECORD of saying the expedient political thing to get elected, and when he is elected to office, he does the exact opposite of what he promised to do! WOW-double-WOW!

And it bothers your little carpy conscience not a whit that sometimes the voters have gotten a better deal?

Yes, you are expecting a Jesus Christ level politician and I have news for you, He never will be on any earthly ballot.

Why not get all self righteous over the “consistent” Cruz promise of amnesty — at least Walker might end up adjusting to the good.

Look here, as a former Sconnie that voted for him, I'm basing my opinion of Walker on his record, his statements and actions made by him to get him elected and what he said and did after he was elected.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I'm ashamed that I did not speak out sooner against faux-conservatives sooner. No more. Walker needs to stay in Wisconsin. I don't trust him as President.
