Congress is approaching irrelevance. Its lawmaking and investigative authority, which predates the constitution, is slipping away. The American people are getting used to it. There is little pressure to demand return to our founding republicanism and free government.
After a lifetime of dedicated voting, I don't believe any thinking patriot can reasonably participate any further in a system that stands against freedom.
Well-stated, Jacquerie.
Witness the amassing of executive power via the agencies/cabinets. Witness the history of the republic.
Checks and balances? Pfffft
We have ZERO representation.
Executive apparatchiks are dictating to/laughing at Congress.
You are correct. I still vote but only for those I think deserve my vote but......I never ever expect ANYTHING good from any politician on any level. If you don’t expect anything you’re never disappointed. And, I realized a long time ago that my opinions are irrelevant to them.
I have no faith in the process anymore.
