“And they aren’t free to express that without negative consequences.”

The 1st Amendment does not guarantee the right to express views without negative consequence.

Oh sweetie I get that. And you still don’t see it. You are hopeless. But at least now, you are transparent.

Why should there be any “negative consequence” for free speech?

Why can’t people just walk away either in agreement or disagreement?

See, you really aren’t supporting FREE speech when you condone retribution for speaking words.

Especially in this instance, where none were physically harmed as a result...yet certain FReepers on this thread were just fine with physically punitive measures being taken out against the morons...or is it that they just need to see the football team for an “attitude adjustment”?

Yeah, see? An “attitude adjustment” isn’t a euphemism for a$$ kicking, is it? It’s just a meeting like scared straight. We’re gonna “scare” you into abject compliance with the new politically correct speech.

Nope, just a little “talking to”. Oh wait, that’s another euphemism...hmmm.

Sheesh, pretty damned transparent...

I thought the First Amendment (and the rest of the Bill of Rights) protected the people from the Government (consequences from the Government)?
