Who set up her own personal email server? That’s no easy feat. I’ll bet the WH supplied the help!

Maybe not a “specific” but certainly to a location. As pointed out up-thread, as of current the IP is flagging in the Virgin Islands; I know it was at least a week ago because I was looking into it after a report that GoDaddy was hosting the e-mail services. Turns out, Network Solutions is the registrar and holds the A and MX records which point back to another network provider.

As Secretary of State, she:

A. Generates a large number of classified and confidential messages, simply by virtue of topic; therefore, intentionally setting up one to host government messages is a crime

B. If you work for the government or defense contractor, they tell you NOT to use it for personal business because:
* it adds to the risk you’ll click on a phishing link sent as a personal message
* distributes the email address to many who don’t have a need to know
* generates the risk you’ll send a classified message to a personal correspondent

This is why saying she used the server for both personal and professional is so dangerous. She’s violating many government regulations if she used a government email account for personal things like planning her daughter’s wedding, and she’s violating the law for using her personal email for top secret messages - which could consist as much as Commander X will be at Y on Tuesday or unit L is moving near Syria next month.

What really led to the focus on her private e-mail was someone’s hack of Sid Blumenthal’s AOL e-mail account, which contained messages sent to her private address.

I’m hoping that if anyone hacked her server, they are keeping their powder dry until she makes some statement, under oath, which is not true and can be shown to be not true based on what was on her server at one point in time. To this point she has given entirely unsatisfactory answers, but none with great legal implication. After she testifies before Congress, then it would be great to see a hacker, with the goods, drop the bomb on her Presidential aspirations.

I think they’d have to pick somewhere else. The VI is two separate entities. One is the US VI and the other is British VI.

So far, Ive read, seen or heard that the server was in Bermuda, the Bahamas, Texas, Chappaqua, and now in Manhattan.

Methinks the Clinton plan of obfuscation and confusion is working just fine.

Except the Virgin Islands are all operated by countries with extradition to the US, or are territories of the US to start with.

Have all the IT professionals who set this scam up been found in Ft. Marcy Park yet?

Server is not located Harlem according to the lat/long mapping done by the IT expert.

Lower down in the referenced article, a tweet with the location on a map image is provided. The IT expert identifies it as a NYC city government building across the street from city hall.

Can a VPN be used on a server to cloak location like a computer?

Does anyone here realize that this is just another Dog and Pony show, with the public being the pony??

The location and validity of the server in question has been known by CONGRESS for a LONG LONG TIME. They have done everything possible to cover for her but now that it is public, they really need a good show to deflect their quisling complicity.

It’s VERY difficult, if not impossible, for lying politicians to BS us when it comes to anything related to IT. There ARE ‘smart’ people out there that will quickly figure them out. It’s just a SHAME that the media chooses to ignore the truth as much as they can. Unfortunately for them, once the TRUTH gets out there, even their accomplices in the media can’t stop it without completely destroying what credibility they may have left...

Instances like THIS is partly why they so want to regulate the Internet. The free flow of information GREATLY diminishes their ability to control and shape the ‘narrative’.

I added a link above. I agree with you by the way. I don’t see how you can geolocate an IP to to an address due to a host of reasons. You can to a country pretty easily.
