Reporters as paperboys? I'd sic my dogs on them.
I hope they are able to keep it going. I don’t like the alternative, the Los Angeles Times.
Tears By Me Out The Heart.
The situation is so bad that the link goes to a 404 Not Found page.
The Orange County Register..was the paper I grew up with. Pretty conservative then....
My dad and I read it everyday.
Several employees who requested to remain anonymous for “fear of losing their jobs”.
Well what happens if they shut the doors & stop the presses? Will they still have jobs?
GOOD! I haven’t taken the rag for years due to their escalating promotion and support of illegals and illegal immigration.
If our electrical, electronics and/or communications infrastructure suffers a disaster, the situation could be all the more interesting. Imagine hundreds of tiny print operations spewing crazy conspiracy stories and advertisements for harmful drugs.
They should have had a Spanish language edition.
Going leftist did.not save it, huh?
OC Register is a good paper.
Wow...this breaks my heart. I was born and raised in Orange County and The Register was my paper...I started reading it in my early teens, and learned to love politics with RC Hoiles’ editorials.
I read it for decades, they had some of the best writing around, and carried great columns. Jack Kilpatrick The Writer’s Art, L.M. Boyd, S.I. Hiyakawa, George Will when he was conservative, and so many others.
Then, I moved to the Bay Area and became a huge fan of The SF Chronicle, they also had great columnists: Herb Caen, Stan Delaplane, Charlie McCabe, Debra Saunders and more.
I miss the good ol’ days of journalism. My current paper, the Oregonian, is but a shell of itself. Sad.
