Personally I think it's pretty cool.
Military personnel should know better.
It’s an infant, (no doubt and American infant) wrapped in a flag, that does not touch the ground.
Infants are EXEMPT in my flag etiquette book. Sorry purists.
Oh my, child abuse! Next he’ll probably take the baby the church. Before you know it, the kid will be setting up a lemonade stand and playing cowboy and Indians.
I like the picture. It has a kink of symbolism to it. Rest in Freedom, little one!
Sign of the times in which we’re living that such a wonderful photo could be deemed ‘controversial.’
I’m well aware of flag etiquette, but I have no problem with the photo. The flag was not used as a diaper, a wipe, or bib. It was used in respectful artistic expression.
This does not honor our flag.
The main reason given for protest is because of the blood sacrificed for our nation. I think my brother would agree that he died for this baby’s safety and freedom. I like it. It shows why so many come here to have their babies (which should be outlawed). I think many who gave their lives had hopes of having babies, too. Maybe using the flag to speak for the true principles of the republic is needed since the republic is in distress from within.
Just for the heck of it PING!
I like it, but regardless — why get your shorts in a knot over this when there are far worse outrages going on?
IMHO the whole flap is a distraction from real problems.
Funny, I didn’t hear of much of a backlash because of this POS:
What’s wrong with the picture? Is it against the law to cradle a baby in the flag? Do folks have nothing better to do than get their panties in a wad over insignificant things? Good grief!
The people making a ruckus over this are the same sort of smug gnostics who complain when someone says that so-and-so “won the Congressional Medal of Honor.” They have decreed, unilaterally, that some perfectly legitimate action or phrase is verboten, and then preen and smirk about their superiority and purity.
BTW: The so-called “Pledge of Allegiance”—another object of unseemly worship by so many—contains an explicit REJECTION of the Declaration of Independence: “indivisible.”
She is being inundated with requests for photo shoots. So, good response. Chew on that you bunch of complainers.
I think it’s lovely
No body cries about people using flags as headbands or do-rags.
The child is embraced in peace within the loving support of Old Glory being firmly secured in the hands of our men and women in uniform. . . a beautiful image that properly and respectfully conveys the spirit of the nation. In fact. . .we all are that child.
Personally I think it’s a beautiful picture. Think about it the baby is cradled in an American flag. This baby’s future is en effect dependent on the freedom the American flag represents. God bless America!
