Very cool; and a pretty collected young man. Though that likely wasn't exactly the response that Robert Downey Jr wanted. :)

Man I am so glad to see Downey turned his life around! I was expecting him to die young after all the trouble he got into.
I think he thought carefully about where he could end up after playing that loser druggie character in “less than zero” - the one that was forced to perform homosexual acts to pay for his drug habit.

I am glad RDJ turned his life around as well. He has become the best actor of his age, IMO.

Over the last couple of years, I have seen many 3d printed designs for artificial hands and limbs grow in complexity and functionality. Then a few months ago I saw some cool designs for kids that modeled Iron Man and thought that this is a great use of 3d printed, open soured design. I don't think I have ever seen anything take off like the innovation trajectory on these artificial limbs.
Kudos to Downey as well.

Very uplifting video.
Downey stayed in his Iron Man character throughout.
Kudos to the college student who made the device.

It's really nice to see Downey using his connection to his audience through his portrayal of Tony Stark for something so GOOD as this.
Kudo's Mr. Downey... and also to all the people behind the scenes that made all this happen for Alex.
It's so nice to be shown that there are good things that happen in the world.
