The Department of Veterans Affairs took another hit today as news surfaced that an email had been circulated to staffers at an Indianapolis VA hospital making fun of the mental health problems suffered by returning combat veterans.
The Dec. 18 message included several images of a toy Christmas elf, according to The Indianapolis Star, which obtained the email.
The email was sent by social worker Robin Paul to her staff within the Seamless Transition Integrated Care Clinic at the Roudebush VA Medical Center. In one photograph, the elf pleads for Xanax, which is prescribed to treat anxiety and panic. The caption reads: "Self-medicating for mental health issues." In another image, the elf hangs by a Christmas light with the message: "Caught in the act of suicidal behavior (trying to hang himself from an electrical cord)."
The news comes at a time when suicide among military veterans claims an estimated 22 lives a day, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Heard Howlllllard Dean on the News on Fox news calling those going after Hillary about her emails as “ Right Wing Nutjobs “ who are going after endless non-scandals.
If I remember correctly the left and the MSM ( More Satan Media ) going after Kenneth Star 24/7 ... The one drummed up scandal of one woman who worked either for the NSA or CIA name was revealed, their names escape my memory.
The email scandal that Hillary went after Carl Rove.
Then Abu Ghraib scandal that went on endlessly 24/7 for over a year.
Let us not forget when Watergate in the news 24/7 for a time.
I would just to go on and say that a liberal woman, and a conservative woman are so different, and are 2 different worlds apart as night and day.
It would have helped if the person who posted this would have made that distinction.
Conservative women are the most honorable people in the world.
In some aspects they are more zealious for conservative causes then even men.
I would take a good guess that this Freeper was talking about typical liberal women.
More like, should have written “ this female, who is a perfect example of your typical liberal woman “
For their training these workers who work with vets at these hospitals should visit the front lines where the real battle is and see who will be laughing then.
The Nazis would send their officers who need discipline or punishment to the Russian front to get a education.
Or breed.
