Let the punishment fit the crime: this woman needs to be medicated with a mid range dosage of Xanax for a few months and then be cut off cold turkey. I worked for 20+ years in a big city ER.Although many "civilians" wouldn't know this emergency rooms...particularly those in big cities...have regular customers.They're mainly members of society's lower classes who see ERs as being just 24 hour clinics...no appointment needed.
We routinely made fun of some of these people,perhaps wrongly.
But making fun of military veterans is absolutely disgusting...nauseating.

Anyone who works in the health care field recognizes what is known as "gallows humor". It is dark, cynical and appears to relieve stress of health professionals who have to encounter so much heartbreak and tragedy on a daily basis and still keep a professional image as well as their wits.
I suspect most who are not in health care would fail to see the humor but I am willing to give someone a break who is trying to help others and sometimes engages in dark, bizarre humor as a way to let off steam.
