In New Hampshire, Scott Walker lays out three pillars of potential presidential platform

CONCORD, N.H. — Gov. Scott Walker introduced himself to New Hampshire Republicans here Saturday, outlining a three-pronged potential presidential theme focused on growth, reform and safety — and later called suggestions that he’s aggressively shifted policy positions in recent months “ridiculous.”

Walker talked about cutting federal income tax rates to spur economic growth, returning control of education and transportation spending to the states and framing the threat posed by radical Islamic terrorism not as one of national security, but of the closer-to-home domestic theme of “safety.”

Cruz has become the defacto conservative leader in Washington. Have you even been watching him?

You mean the same way Obama was the defacto liberal anti-war leader in Washington before the election?

-——That’s why states like Wisconsin and Louisiana and Kansas can’t cut spending fast enough to keep up with the reductions in revenue.-—

Wisconsin’s net budget surplus grew to nearly $1 billion, money that Gov. Scott Walker and Republican legislative leaders are eyeing for income and property tax cuts.

I don’t mind your opposition to Walker but if you can’t tell the truth while doing it, maybe you really don’t belong here.

Leadership is about having a larger vision and the will to accomplish it. Leadership is about communicating that vision and having others join in that vision.

Which is precisely how Walker led in Wisconsin, with a clear vision for what needed to be done to fix the deficit and put the state on firm footing for economic growth. He asked questions of people rather than told them what he thought and convinced many to follow him.

There are not too many GOP leaders who could convince purple Republicans to support defunding public sector unions today....not even Christie, who is a blowhard, not an educator.

Walker educates as he goes and builds the momentum for conservatism. That is why he is leading because people love to follow this guy.

Why? Because Walker is better at flip-flopping?

Walker has not flip-flopped except as fabricated by the minds of liberals who hope to divide us and Cruz purists who want to destroy any decent conservative except their chosen man.

Eiter way, it is childish banter and this is an adult conversation.

Right. Just as long as you don’t do it by tearing down the other guy.

There will not be a President Jeb. There may well be, probably be, a GOP nominee Jebster. He will not win because he’s a Democrat in an R jersey. He’s the designated loser like Romney and McCain before him.

-—Walker can talk taxes, but spending is out of control. I guess Walker wants the credit card balance (debt ceiling) to keep rising.-—

Crazy talk. Simply crazy talk.

As County Executive Walker balanced budgets year after year.

His reform of public unions VASTLY reduced state government expenditures …..

An in-depth analysis by the MacIver Institute of local and state savings brought on by Wisconsin 2011 Act 10 has found that tax payers have saved $2.7 billion since the law was enacted.

http://www.maciverinstitute.com/2013/10/update-act-10-savings-up-to-27-billion/

You’ve been buying into the PRELIMINARY budget figures being trumpeted by Walker’s enemies. Why don’t you stop posting for a while and inform yourself.

Cut spending first. Then cut revenue.

Which shows you do not understand conservative fiscal policy and its results.

But right now, he is a man without a party

He’s a man without a party because we do not have an opposition party. Most of the supposed opposition party Senators are Democrats in R jerseys.

The 50 or so conservatives in the House and the handful of conservative Senators need to leave the GOP and found the Freedom Party, the GOP is hopelessly compromised and spends more time and energy defeating conservatives than Democrats.

Oh, I agree. I think it's likely that Jeb will be the nominee (but not president). And one good reason he will be the nominee is that about half the Conservative activists will work very hard to destroy Walker. And the other half of the Conservative activists will work very hard to destroy Cruz.

It's what we do.

But that doesn't mean that I don't think that one candidate is better than the others or that I shouldn't do all I can to promote that candidate for the nomination.

Nothing wrong with it at all until you start spouting LIBERAL media headlines and LIES created by the left and GOPe meant to divide us.

Then, you become a useful idiot.

Walker’s Big Three:

1. Tough on immigration, or not.
2. Reasonable people can disagree on abortion, but I’m really pro-life.
3. At least he can remember the third one.

Either one is just fine with me. Scott walker has been through the crucible though and is quite a fighter... we here do like that!!!

Walker has toured the entire state. You will likely see more of him on his bike.

Further on Walker’s budget balancing!!!!!!

The nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau on Monday set the record straight on Wisconsin’s biennial budget position, as it would stand under Gov. Scott Walker’s budget proposal.

In a memo to Joint Finance Committee co-chairman state Rep. John Nygren, R-Marinette, fiscal bureau director Bob Lang notes that under Walker’s 2015-17 budget bill, the state’s gross general fund balance would be $123 million and, the net balance would be $58 million.

2. Reasonable people can disagree on abortion, but I’m really pro-life.

Lets look at his record:

Scott Walker’s Budget Defunds Planned Parenthood, Targets Contraception Access

Wisconsin Abortions Drop 16% After Pro-Life Law Allowing Women to See Ultrasound of Baby

Any doubt about his pro-life stances?

It looks like he’s dodging a YES or NO answer on Common Core.

This shows you do not understand Walker. It was Walker who called for the repeal of Common Core in Wisconsin. It was implemented BEFORE he became governor.

It is this type of nonsense that discredits so many FReepers.

Walker has a clear track record of conservative leadership in Wisconsin. You cannot show me one thing Walker implemented that is not conservative.

Instead, we get twisting of Walker's words via liberal media (that wants to divide us) and ignorance of Walker's positions by FReepers just to tear him down.

Cruz does not look better when you lie about Walker.

Nice guy, but not even close to a President Ted Cruz.

Walker/Cruz 2016 would be a good ticket. They just need to avoid personal attacks on each other, and agree that whoever comes in second will support the other.
