Key House conservatives are infuriated over the decision by Republican leaders to negotiate a $200 billion deal with Democrats that would permanently fix a decades-old problem with Medicare payments to doctors.
Hard-liners are blasting the effort involving Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), saying it should not have been taken without consulting rank-and-file members.  “[Boehner] didn’t come to us and say, ‘How do we fix the "doc fix" working with Mitch McConnell?’ He went to Nancy Pelosi,” Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.), a frequent critic of Boehner, told reporters Tuesday. Huelskamp said he heard from both Boehner and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Paul Ryan that they hope to use the legislation to “jam the Senate” — with the help of Pelosi.

Thankfully, I trust Cruz would not sign anything that Boehner sends him without vetting it with Conservative leaders in both Houses.

Here is MY fix: Repeal Medicare. Replace it with nothing. Pass the savings back to the taxpayers and let people take care of themselves!
