He’s so wishy washy. /sarc

Obama plays this card on a regular basis. Just listen to his words and watch his actions. He is worthless.

So now we know that Dick Cheney doesn’t think much of Obama but apparently is fine with pornography, since to get the full extent of his comments one has to purchase an issue of the magazine.

During Cheney's interview by Playboy, he said that Obama and Holder have been using the race card.

Yep. That photo was taken on Obama’s inauguration day. Cheney saw right through Barry’s BS from the start.

Well, Obama has had 6+ years to clean up and he hasn’t. He has made the situation worse. Oh, and tell us about Clintoons involvement as he was the prez for 8 years while the Iraq situation festered and led to 9/11.

Once again this magazine, like so many before it, seeks to take Bush down as many notches as it can, by playing up Cheney to make Bush look like an oaf.

Not being a big fan of Bush at all, I still find this to be an ignorant ploy.

As an executive, you bring aboard people who will be an asset to you. Bush was showing excellent leadership skills when he brought Cheney on board.

If Cheney wasn’t there, this guy would rail on Bush for picking someone less qualified than they should be. With Cheney there, he says Cheney eclipsed Bush. As I said, ignorance is bliss in today’s writing circles, as it relates to most papers.

Cheney and I clash on a number of issues. I still think he was exactly the right man to have as vice-President during the Bush administration. His leadership skills were excellent. His demeanor second to none when the bad news needed to be discussed, or an interview required it.

The Left are such a bunch of wankers.

“Bush II, Cheney, and Rumsfeld were the architects of Afghanistan and Iraq, but Obama is the inept architect of Phase 2.”

In architecture we call that a “bridge” contract and it is nearly always a similar disaster

It’s easy to arm chair quarterback campaigns like the Iraq war. Look at Lyndon Johnson and Vietnam. He never did have a clue. To his credit, Bush didn’t micromanage the war like Johnson did. He put in people to run it, and they didn’t administrate well.

I give Bush high marks for realizing there was a problem, changing men and tactics, and turning things around.

If we were talking about tens of thousands of men having died in Iraq, still in a quagmire, then yes I’d most likely join you in your criticism.

The body count in Iraq was not abusive. It was a tough campaign. Bush did git it right in the end.

Folks on this forum know that I am not a big fan of Bush. I criticize him freely here. On Iraq, I don’t.

That place was a viper’s den. It wasn’t easy at all to tell who our allies and enemies were. It took time to nail that down. It took time to devise a policy to end most of the roadside IED problems.

I think sometimes we bitch too easily. I do it myself, so I’m not telling you something I myself am guiltless of.

I agree with your post #32 completely. Many people made some truly horrible mistakes. Some of those mistakes were well-intentioned (those of Bush II, Cheney, Rumsfeld).

And some of them were due to rank incompetence, or worse (those of Clinton and Obama).

But consider the Vietnam debacle. The lion's share of the blame must go to LBJ, not to Eisenhower, or Nixon, or Ford. The same applies here. Afghanistan and Iraq are on Bush.

Exactly. A culture devoid of Virtue. And we all should know that the Founders knew that without Virtue, there is no possibility of Freedom.

The sodomite pagans have normalized objectification of sex and the degradation of human beings—and reduced them to godless animals with no dignity. The so-called “Christian” churches were complicit (bought off) years ago as Pastor Bonhoeffer referred to many mainstream American Churches as “religionless” in 1930.

Normalizing objectification and instant gratification demoralizes always and destroys Virtue. It normalizes using human beings s a Means to an End which is the slippery slope to Stalin and collectives and a destruction of Individualism.

It literally is the END of the Christian Worldview and the destruction of Shame. It eliminates-the profound thinking which created the Age of Reason, Modern Science and the US Constitution: the most brilliant and free cultures in the history of man.

We are like Babylon or today’s Afghanistan cultures where it is “Just” to use others in degrading, evil, irrational manner and our “Justice” System actually is allowed to promote Vice. LOL

You have as many masters as you have Vices. (St. Augustine). “ Libido
Dominandi”-—the more sexually “liberated”, the more political control our earthly masters have, and the more emotionally crippled and demonic “future” children who imbibe in the toxic culture, will be. Vice leads to more Vice always. Cheney always promotes pagan ethics which he knows will make the masses into slaves for the elites and make them filthy wealthy and totally dependent. (Just typical politics and the Dialectic—historicism).

Good post yours. And yep, it's easy to arm chair quarterback these things. But I have got to say this. Bush II had all the lessons of Vietnam before him. And he ignored most of them.

True, as you noted, Bush usually avoided the micromanagement. But he still tried LBJ's old "hearts-and-minds" routine, coupled with "nation-building". He should have known better. The old lessons of Vietnam were there.

Dick Cheney giving an interview to Playboy pretty much sums up where we are in the U.S. today.

I'll bet the list of people doing interviews with Playboy over the years is much much more impressive than the list of people doing interviews with some of the kooks Obama gives interview to.
