THIS is absolutely not one of them.
I concur. In a perfect world maybe the cops could have thought fast enough to back around the car but A) that is hard to do without taking your eyes off the guy and B)if the guy kept advancing it would have ended the same way. I won’t second guess a man within stabbing distance of a crazy person with a screwdriver.
That said this does dovetail into my “be wary of involving the cops” mantra
