Yeah he charged the cop. You can tell by the mother’s voice that she knew he was about to make a bad mistake and he did.
Mental illness is tragic but it isn’t a special magical armor.

And being mental has nothing to do with officers protecting themselves! I worked in a nut ward. One of the worst things we ever had to experience, was some nut who was off his meds. It was often times, very scary.
