Feiglin: Jewish Home Balloon Has Burst [Israel, Netanyahu & Likud Party]
Arutz Sheva ^ | Thursday, March 19, 2015 | Gil Ronen

Likud MK Moshe Feiglin, who will not serve in the next Knesset, said Thursday that the election has exposed the futility of the idea of having a religious Zionist party.

Feiglin announced that he is resigning from Likud and establishing a new party, after blaming Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for allegedly tampering with the primary elections and placing him in an unrealistic spot on Likud's list.

Feiglin is convinced, more than ever, that the new movement he is establishing will present Israel with a God-fearing leader.

"I think that the most meaningful balloon to burst was that of the Jewish Home,” Feiglin argued. “Whoever thought that it was possible for the [religious Zionist] sector to produce an alternative to the leadership, discovered again, that once the 'robbed Cossack' begins to scream, religious Zionism again turns into Netanyahu's alternative vote depot.”

The term “robbed Cossack” is an expression with Yiddish origins, describing a perpetrator who presents himself as a victim, and referring to a Cossack marauder who accuses his victims of robbing him. In this case, Feiglin appears to comparing Netanyahu, to the Cossack.

"They wanted to save the person who is still serving as the alternative to leadership of the country,” Feiglin stated.

In this way, Feiglin argued, religious Zionist continues to be “a tail,” and not “the head.”

It's good for Prime Minister Netanyahu to "get rid of Feiglin" out of the Likud. He was nothing but a PROBLEM for Netanyahu! Good Riddance!!

Yes, I can understand your point of view there.

Here’s what bothers me.

He leaves and pulls just enough people with him to make Likud unable to be a force in the future.

Then you get the idiots that ran against Netanyahu this time.

For some people, it’s all about self.

This guy won’t get what he wanted, and will ultimately wind up screwing the nation over in the process.

Better to accept that your views are not commonly held, and remain with a body that can at least get some very important things accomplished.

Israel should be rejoicing that they have a God fearing leader.

God definitely has Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in place for a time such as this!

It’s Israel. Parties come and go mostly based on personality. This might be Netanyahu’s last hurrah. Likud won’t survive without him. With Feiglin sitting out and Yachad losing out, there’s room for another Right party next election.

Minimum representation went from two seats to four seats this time. Maybe the minimum should be 10%, a theoretical dozen seats.

I shouldn’t comment on the spread, not knowing their system as well as I would need to.

I do understand your point though, and it was an interesting one.

I hadn’t given the party ‘life span’ consideration before, but the way you explained it makes sense.

You aren’t in Israel, are you? And you have read / watched how much of Moshe Feiglin over the years?

S/he is an idiot. Spouting constantly about sh*t s/he doesn't understand.

Of course not. Traveler is a very confused person.

Israel needs more principled religious men like Feiglin.

SO .... now you’re against Netanyahu in favor of some other guy?! ... LOL ...

First you tell me that I don’t really support Netanyahu, even though I’ve supported him 100% in his policies and actions for YEARS, going back to the Clinton days, and then next you say you’re not going to support Netanyahu if he switches back to his long-standing policy of supporting the formation of a Palestinian State, and NOW, you support SOMEONE ELSE who you seem to think is better than Netanyahu.

As I told you, I’ve supported Netanyahu CONTINUOUSLY for YEARS ... but you FLIP-FLOP every other day and you say “I’m confused!?” ... LOL ...
