The first time I saw Benjamin Netanyahu was in 1979. He was discussing the Iranian Hostage crises on "Nightline" with Ted Koppel. Now i've watched Ted Koppel just rip his guests apart plenty of times, but that night was the first time I ever saw anyone tear Ted Koppel apart.
Koppel was being his usual arrogant and condescending self, and "Bibi" was having none of it. Before it was over, Koppel was nearly speechless and very subdued.
That's when I knew I was gonna like this guy a lot. :)
