I had a (former) far Left friend with whom I had this discussion. She was not married, had no kids, but her twin sister was married and had a child. I asked her if she believed her sister and her sister's husband brought different qualities to their child in his upbringing. She said ‘of course’. Then why do you think anyone has the right to tell a child they must be brought up by two mommies or two daddies. No answer. The compassion for all, even the aberrant in our society, is foremost. And it is never about the child.....it's always about the adult. PS-I don't think it's fair that a woman should decide she is getting older and better have a child now, without an involved father, either. This is happening more often, too.

Sorry I lost the thread, but I read here yesterday that homosexuals comprise 1.6%
of the US population.

There is no homosexual gene. Homosexuals are made, not born. My own brother
was raped repeatedly when he was an alter boy, and he became a homosexual.

The priest’s stupid plan to get this attractive young boy to become an ordained
priest backfired terribly, and he left the Church, never to return.

He had a lot of “partners,” but there were only two with whom he had very
long-term relationships. He died of AIDS when he was 55.

Homosexual marriage appalled him, and he and his partner (the last one) were
deeply closeted for all of their 17 years together.

I tend to think 1.6% is a more accurate description. The 4% comes from the CDC and WHO so I take their premises with a huge grain of salt. I’m truly sorry about your brother.

Thank you, my friend. He died long ago, so the pain is no longer raw.

As an odd coincidence, he died on September 5, 1989, and our oldest brother died on September 5, 1990. He had a malignant brain tumor.

Thanks for sharing that. That sure rings true. I worked with a lesbian who was in charge of a dairy department at a big grocery store. Her terrible treatment of men and favorable treatment of women was both obvious and infuriating.

A lot of these “lesbians” only chew carpet because they hate men (sometimes they have a legitimate reason, like they were abused) rather than because they aren’t attracted to men.

I’m pretty sure homosexual men don’t talk about how they hate women all the time or use sex toys that look like lady parts (lesbians use the reverse).

Like I’ve said before, back in HS, you could pick the dykes out: they looked mannish and no guys gave them the time of day. The poofs: I didn’t hang out with any; that was kept in the closet where it belongs. We suspected a few and sure enough, they are (Facebook is good for a laugh once in a while).

The two “married” poofs I know: The “man” was engaged to a woman before he went gay. The “wife” told me he’s never as much kissed a non-related woman and thinks women “have gears ‘up there’”. Yes, that’s an actual quote.
