Schubert at age 21 spent six months in a little town in what is now Hungary teaching two teenage girls of a rich family. He boarded at their house.

One girl was 19 and the other 13. Frannie was sweet on the 13 year old, but he knew that as an employee of the family he had no chance with her. The Hyperion Schubert Edition offers this piece in the same key (C Major) but sung by a soprano and an alto, the ensemble for which it was written. In that recording without a male singer, you can clearly hear the piano leading the two women in a seductive musical dance. It was as close as Schubert was ever going to get with these two girls.

Thanks Prof. Wound up with yucky mouth pain friday. Went to the dentist yesterday & looks like I have to have a root canal tomorrow. Never had a toothache before. Hate the meds! ;)

The anti-inflammatory I use for my spinal issues did wonders for my root canals, as did the penicillin they gave me, which is preventative. They also gave me Oxycontin, which was nice but not necessary.

I did the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention icons, to include the Navy icon for giving Conor permission to come aboard. Is that the host's job, or does Kathy do that every time?
