I know a few people who have died from them. My friend’s MIL is one who amazingly survived. They were on vacation in Mexico and her headache was so bad she insisted on seeing a doctor. Her husband thought she was crazy, but she insisted so he took her. It was an aneurism and they were able to treat it. Amazing.
49 yr old co worker of mine suddenly died of a brain aneurysm leaving behind a husband and 2 teen sons; many of her friends were weeping as they laid her to rest. I don’t know if smoking is a cause but she was a smoker (went outside to have a smoke and was found a couple hrs later) and worried about the health of her own mother at the time.
