Rivlan is the President of Israel and it's his job to choose one Knesset Member to form the government. Right now, it has been reported that one small party on Netanyahu's side of the fence is preventing Netanyahu from forming the government, because they want Netanyahu to renounce he his support for the TWO-STATE SOLUTION, but Netanyahu has been on the news after the election saying that he still supports that per his Bar-Ilan speech, given right after Obama got into office. Another small party won't support Netanyahu either, until they get the ministry positions they want. SO, there's a lot of wrangling still going on.

In addition to that President Rivlan has said that he wants to see a Unity Government with Herzog and Netanyahu in it. Herzog has said it's okay with him, and Netanyahu has, in the past, formed a Unity Government.

You really can't predict these things, so we'll just have to sit back and watch to see how it plays out!

One should keep in mind that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not abandoned his commitment to a TWO-STATE SOLUTION, as he outlined in his Bar-Ilan speech, right after Obama became Presidemt.

Netanyahu has been on the news in the days after the election re-affirming his support for a Two-State Solution per this Bar-Ilan speech.

As for me, I’ve been a very long time supporter of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, going back to the Clinton Days. I support Netanyahu 100% in his policies and actions!

This relates to that one small party who says that they will not join Netanyahu in forming the new government (which would make Netanyahu short of the required amount) unless Netanyahu renounces his long-standing support for the TWO-STATE SOLUTION per his Bar-Ilan speech of years ago.

I understand that Lieberman, of Yisrael Beytenu, is expecting to get the Defense Ministry, but that would still mean 60 seats, enough to form a coalition. What other party is sitting on the fence? Also, hadn't Herzog ruled out a unity government with Likud?

I am not questioning your statements. I have been out of the loop for the last 24 hours, with my son running in a 200 mile relay race, so I have probably missed something. Oh, Lord, please, no unity with Zionist Union!

It’ll be weeks of wrangling over Cabinet portfolios. Every one wants the power ministries.

The government will be on vacation during Passover week, so things will be put off for awhile.
