They should be given to the needy.

"People dropped off dozens of unwanted guns"DOZENS... in a city that big? How pathetic!
You could get more people than that to volunteer to be castrated.......especially in Frisco.

I “need” some more. Uh, just wondering how you buy back something that was never in your possession or that you never sold. I know. Rhetorical.

Gun buybacks are an opportunity for GFW liberals to make a public statement about their disgust with the Bill Of Rights and personal freedom.
Others take advantage of the opportunity to sell worthless junk for more than street value.

The police, they can't do it alone. so we have to step up as a community and work with the police department to make sure we're doing to do everything we can to get guns off the street," San Francisco Board of Supervisors President London Breed said.Yeah, that's it. You thugs steal all the guns you can and the police will buy them and no questions asked. What a business. Who says government isn't a criminal enterprise?

At least half of these people have a better weapon at their homes and are just making a quick buck.

LOL, I looked at the pic at the story. The revolver the officer is holding is missing the cylinder. Boy howdy, I sure will sleep better knowing that weapon of war is off the street, LOL.
OTOH, the shotgun looks kinda sweet. I *think* it’s a Mossberg tactical 50095, but I’m not an expert on these things.
Oh yeah, and I seriously doubt any of the “assault rifles” turned in were actual assault rifles.

The revolver the officer is holding is missing the cylinder.Hey, if someone threw that in someone's eye, it could hurt.

Good point. Use a (stolen) gun in a robbery, then have the cops buy it back from you and melt it down.
I wonder if they ran traces on these guns, or if it was "no questions asked"?

How come they never have porn buy-backs? Or booze buy-backs?

Buy Back?
They bought the Guns from the Cops and then the Cops bought them back?
What a silly Business Model they have going there.
To: nickcarraway
I’ve got a hi point 380 that jams all the time that I would be tempted to sell for a $100. But since I have rounds for it and don’t want to buy another 380 I’ll probably keep it.
