Interesting. The Burger King I frequent all have Haitian employees. One, the manager, speaks acceptable English, but doesn't understand it too well. :-/

I Could imagine what your orders come out like.

I find Spanish useful, especially when confronted by an English-speaking panhandler. When I respond in Spanish, they give me a pitying look as though I’m retarded and move on...
