Oddly enough, from my research, the immigration rules as written make Cruz eligible (mom old enough and lived in the US after age 17 long enough), Obama ineligible (mom too young, so he reverts to his father’s status), and Obama’s executive order more illegal (neither parent qualifies as being here legally to confer status).
