Read today that Mexico is undercutting China on manufacturing auto parts, that’s quite a swing from 10-15 yrs ago.
I hope that as marijuana decriminalization and legalization spreads through our country, that reduction in the illegal market will damage the Mexican drug cartels and their political influence. I imagine more US companies would then be interested in a combination of US and Mexican parts and labor for manufacturing, rather than going half way round the world for cost effective manufacturing and distribution.
