The short answer is that you’re living in a police state when everyone becomes a suspected criminal or terrorist. And if the following report is any indicator, then welcome to the Reich.
The Justice Department has ordered bank tellers across America to contact law enforcement if they suspect your cash withdrawal may have something to do with illicit activity. There doesn’t need to be proof, or any sort of red flag indicator – merely suspicion by the bank teller processing your transaction is now enough to have you investigated by authorities.

Not designed to intimidate banks. Its purpose is to control the sheeple by discouraging bank runs that will topple the house of cards.
Fed Reserve QE is electronic creation of money not printing dead presidents. If there is a bank run, not enough green pieces of fiat currency to hand over to customers.
Note that it took about 4 weeks for banks to topple nationwide during the Great Depression before FDR declared a national banking holiday. Unless the Internet is shut down, it would take less than 4 days now.

Done the same a few times and not a problem and always paid contractors or vehicles with cash so I await for more of a respectable link before I get all in a worked up way.

I know a few people who work or have worked in banks, and pretty much every one of them said it’s okay to have a checking account as long as you run it down each month with basic costs of everyday life (in other words, never keep much more than your monthly cost of living in a checking account. As for savings accounts, they’ve said keep a float of $5,000 for emergencies, but under no circumstances more than $10,000, for ANY reason.
Banks are very hostile to giving you cash, in general.
I just started taking out cash to piss them off.
Not much. The whole thing is drug money washing ,as you know and that is good— but the government takes that and invades our lives .I really like to cash out and leave cash in one of my storage buildings. Banks are the government. Never use banks. I use paypal and credit cards. Once a month I send the Little woman down to get a large money order for the credit card payment (its a whopper) . But when I get checks in my farming— I cash them out. To hell with the government. I am carefull to pay all taxes. ( 1099) but that doesnt mean they invade my private life. We need Ted Cruz— real bad.

My daughter works in a credit union, they do it too.
Disappointing thing is at age 23, she doesn’t see anything wrong with that being part of her job.
I told her banks are not the police, and shouldn’t be doing any of these surveillance tasks.

Proves nothing. So much depends on a variety of variables coming together. Tell you what, do a large cash transaction at a big bank & while you are doing it, explicitly joke with the teller about how you'd like to have a "fling" with her 14 yo daughter. See how long it takes the feds to freeze your account & accuse you of laundering drug money.
The real point of all this is not to catch folks like you right now. It's to make as many as possible "criminals" so that they can come in anytime they want and pull you in. Insurance from their point of view.

Democrat Obama must resign and be impeached and a jailed for his many illegal crimes in which Obama unlawfully went against the will of the people and of Congress: these crimes include
1. Using the FCC to impose Soros’ socialist net neutrality laws on the Internet
2. giving illegals amnesty
3. giving 9 million illegals work permits and SSN’s
4. ordering the IRS to oppress conservatives and Republicans to rig his own re-election election
5. solyndra
6. benghazi
7. laundering hundreds of billion$ to democrat/leftist groups disguised as stimulus
8. obamacare
9. Using the EPA to shut down coal and businesses
a million other crimes , several every day , every single day we hear about many abuses of power , scandals, etc
nobody is putting all this together and calling for Obama’s resignation and impeachment.

Last year I stopped by at my Credit Union to talk about just this.
They have the same reporting requirements, “to stop money laundering, you know.”
I suspect I got on the radar just by asking.
For years, if you deposited $10k or more, you’d be reported. Best to bury that $10 and dig up what you need.
