So you’re saying they said, a few minutes earlier when the plane was passing into the realm of the Marseille ATC, the plane DID NOT RESPOND?? If that is what was said by someone who actually knows, that does imply the pilots were occupied by something preventing them from speaking.
Loss of pressure in cockpit? Or terrorism.
“Loss of pressure in cockpit? Or terrorism.”
The decent was 10 minutes, if the Pilots were in control of the plane I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t make a single call. Therefore I agree decompression, Terrorist flew it into the mountain or third, major electrical taking out systems inc. comm.
Germanwings/Lufthansa may already have some idea of what happened as many modern commercial aircraft have the ACARS system which reports to dispatch and maintenance offices what is going on with the engines and other systems aboard.
In an emergency, pilots are trained to first get the plane’s flight stabilized, and only after that to spend time communicating.
