Vanished from radar about halfway through flight. Pilot contacted tower for a very short distress call but didn’t say what was wrong, according to fox.

Not feeling good about this, I’ve got friends on vacation there and the last leg of their trip was Germany.

Sad news. Fox has started their never ending speculationpalooza.

This is how a news story gets so screwed up.

We need to find the black boxes as soon as possible.

With good reason: we need to know if the black boxes continued to record data right up to the time of impact. If it does, then we can seriously look at some sort of mechanical failure--and compare the black box data against what happened on Indonesia AirAsia Flight 8501 late last year.

Sad news. There won’t be any other news today. It’ll be wall to wall plane crash...until they find out it was terrorism.

Distress call at 5000 feet, with a rapid descent into the ground?

This doesn't sound like single engine failure. Maybe dual engine failure, or fuel starvation, or worse (hijack).

We'll know soon with this one, there won't be any enduring mystery.

It has been over an hour all the news channels are reporting on this.

How can these channels cover something for that long based on no info.

We don’t know anything, nothing neither do these news outlets and yet they keep repeating themselves, move on there is other news to cover and so much more going on and now Shep Smith is on.
AARRGGHHH

Midflight disaster is rare. Airbus is developing a reputation. Usually 3 causes of midflight disaster, weather, mechanical failure, or terrorism. If the weather was bad the pitot issue is back in play. They don’t call them Repairbuses for nothing.

There ‘used to be’ a time when tragedies occurred, the newscasters would just report...’Airliner has crashed, we will update as soon as we have more information, now back to...’
