Nice “blogging” fellow FReepers.
How many blog pimps are going to come to FR now to drum up web hits?
I love FreeRepublic.
I am proud of you guys!!
~hat tip~
I have never visited Avik Roy's blog, but other than that I agree with you. Red State just does not hold my interest.
The Democrat version of democracy means three unelected bureaucrats voting for something that none of us is allowed to see.
Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. Every single thing that unelected bureaucrats vote on and pass are readily available to the public in the law library of the US Circuit Court of Appeals in their area, and at law schools accessible to their alumni and their law clerks, and other such places. You just ask for directions from the smarmy librarians, and they’ll point and snap “over there! Geeze, laymen.” and point in a general direction, where it’s all in regularly updated clasp books in numerical order. So there.
I’m surprise it wasn’t number 1. When I’m on the computer FR is a tab that is open all the time so I can refresh and check in frequently throughout the day. I usually find out about things before they ever hit the news. Congratulations on the recognition!
I agree! Congrats to FR and Conservative Tree House deserved to be on that list.
Hear, hear!
My thanks to all of you.
Congratulations!
But that is AFTER the law is passed. Don’t you remember Princess Pelosi’s infamous ‘we have to pass [obamacare] to know what is in it.?’
Should be#1 by a light year
Great! But FR isn’t a blog.
But let’s be fair. The nuke deal with Iran works the same way. If it’s good enough for treaties, it’s good enough for the nation as well as for Israel. Those slave-owning money changers ought to let the One make the deal so the Senate can ratify it and then find out what’s in it.
bkmk
Maybe then John Kerry will even know what’s in it, ‘cause the Persians will finally translate it into English.
They should have mentioned Josh Painter also, who posted the piece “What Is a Conservatarian?” back in 2007, which gave Charles C. W. Cooke the idea for his book The Conservatarian Manifesto, featured in last Sunday’s New York Times Magazine. Cooke gives credit to Free Republic in his book but does not mention Josh Painter or Sturm Ruger.
Congrats, Jim [and John!]! WE all knew that it was the place to be, but always good to be recognized by the general public!
But...as the man said, this ain’t a blog. [otherwise, ‘gunner would be after your butt! LOL!]
