The conservative group Freedom Watch has filed a racketeering lawsuit against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that accuses her of failing to produce documents under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
The civil suit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, argues that Clinton used her private emails to sell access to other officials in return for donations to the Clinton Foundation.
It alleges that, during her tenure, Clinton withheld documents requested under FOIA regarding State Department waivers given to businesses or individuals doing business with Iran, possibly undermining U.S.-imposed sanctions. The complaint, which lists Bill and Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation as defendants, alleges the Clintons sold access to other U.S. government officials in return for donations to their organization, which they concealed, allegedly, by using a private computer server for her emails operated from their home in Chappaqua, New York.

Well, it’s worth a shot.
If not quashed, as I expect it will be, discovery will be fun!
And if they win, do they get to seize the assets of all the defendants, as happens in a racketeering criminal trial?
IIRC, isn’t it part of the law that if the government fails to provide the demanded info, they’re automatically deemed to essentially plead “no contest” to the allegations?
So, how soon will it be tossed for a lack of standing?
That festival of "Gibmedats" is reserved for the Federal Gubmint under the RICO statutes.
I don’t know, but I just learned from “Better Call Saul” that invoking RICO automatically triples the monetary damages during the penalty phase.
Better Call Saul rocks!
Only two episodes remain for this season.
Those Sandpiper people are gonna pay :)
Like his car? Suzuki “Esteem”.
Mike’s back! Even has the same car!
Another brilliant show from Gilligan.
Yeah, but methinks Jimmy is going to get cut out of the deal. Those HHM copies he charged to Chuck’s account will be costly.
Yeah, he is too short-sighted and has to pay for it in the end, just like with the “retainer” he took from the Kettlemans.
I’m actually liking this one better than the first season of BB, so far. A couple of episodes were a bit slow, but I guess they need to squeeze “character development” in somewhere.
Betsy Kettleman was a piece of work.
“Can we all three parachute down from cuckoo land?
:)
Yeah, but they were great characters. The husband was a total emasculated pushover, up until the point where the wife’s veneer of control broke down, and then we see that he is really the steady one who can make the tough decisions. That was some great television.
Oh hell yeah! Go for it! I hope she is forced to pll out of the Presidential Race. The Dem bench is so weak.
