The other pilot wouldn’t have gotten up to go to the restroom unless they were at cruising altitude. If they were then autopilot would of been on which maintains altitude, unless somebody changes the settings.

I thought I read somewhere that they were briefly at cruising altitude.

I find the whole thing very strange. Hopefully we'll know more when they analyze the recorders.
