It’s too bad henkster’s archive maps have run out. I have been suspecting for some time that the German units Bradley’s staff so meticulously place on his maps are remnants or nonexistent. The German maps gave a clearer idea of what was going on in their side.

Bradley and his staff had to err on the side of figuring those units could offer some fight anyhow.

And so begins what I call the "surrender your town or we WILL blast it to hell" stage of the war.

Which most of them eventually did, if they didn't have an SS pistol to the back of their heads.

The maps vanished with the troops they purported to show.

There are still some eastern maps. I’ll post a few this weekend.
