My guess- Homo who recently found out he has AIDS and can’t pass his upcoming flight physical, which means his flying career is over. Flying is everything to him. He decides to go full tilt Raging Drama Queen and take out everyone with him.

Possibly but why would he not simply rent a Piper and drive that into the ground? AIDS is, in the end, a personal “weapon” that does not require a multitude of lives lost to make a statement.

My money is still on the possibility that the other crew member in the cockpit was found to be “involved” with the other-member’s significant other (wife, concubine, boytoy, etc. - and I’m gonna stick with the heterosexual angle for now).
That would explain locking the crew-member out.

My hypothesis as well, but the trigger may not have even been something so dramatic. My guess is that the captain said something that pissed him off...either intentional or totally unaware that the Co was gay... And the dude flipped out. "Full-on raging drama queen," as you say. Could have been compounded with a personal situation he had carried with him to work....could have been the dude's lover had left him; could have been a dire medical diagnosis... Who knows. But gay men are known to have extraordinarily high suicide rates.

And they are so perpetually pissed off at not being "accepted." I've seen and heard rumors of the most unbelievable things these homos in the airlines will do. One guy was called a fag by a first class passenger... before serving the guy's meal, he took the bread from the top of the sandwich and wiped it around the rim of the toilet seat. Fortunately, the other stew saw him and threw the sandwich away...then reported him and he was fired. But he had every intention of serving that sandwich to the man.

I've also been on a crew where the two pilots absolutely hated each other. (Not a gay situation.) One was a 'scab'--from 15 years before! It was the most uncomfortable situation I can ever recall, not to mention potentially dangerous. But it's not totally unheard of that two pilots are bickering in the cockpit.

I can just see something like that happening...and someone who is already emotionally unstable...taking it to this level of Drama Queen Rage. I also think if that turns out to be the case, we'll never hear another word about it.
