Take Smithsonian Channel for instance. The Roku channel will have a hundred or more clips ranging from 5-20 minutes in length. These clips are typically updated daily. The Fox News Roku channel updates multiple times daily. History Channel and H2 offer a mix of complete episodes and web-exclusive content.

I could never afford to subscribe to the cable tier which provides H2 (Ancient Aliens / Curse of Oak Island / American Restoration etc.), but Roku gives me essentially the same thing free. Maybe not every episode, but enough to be happy, given the (no) cost.
