Tactically, it might be better to pass a narrowly defined law that protects religious institutions and religious groups that seek to exclude individuals that engage in morally unacceptable behavior or hold opinions that are inconsistent with their faith. This would have a better chance of preventing gay marriage from being foisted on Bible believing Churches.
A broadly defined law would have less public support and would be less likely to survive in the courts. Once gay activists succeed in forcing principled religious institutions to perform gay marriage or disband, or go underground, we will have lost religious liberty entirely.

We’ve lost religious liberty if a baker can be sued out of existence for not wanting to make a wedding cake for a gay wedding, period.

Churches don't need to "disband" except in the sense of dissolving their corporation and do away with their 501(c)3 Status. Basically they would be going underground. There are already thousands of local congregations around the country meeting just that way. Many more will have to do so in the near future for many reasons.
