Cruz will not get the big GOPe donor cash or the Chamber of Cronies cash. However, he is going to need a substantial amount of money to compete against the big money candidates funded by the well connected elites.
Ted is going to need an unprecedented, large number of small donors from across the country to fund his campaign. Ted will need to set up a team of fund raisers who will think out of the box to recruit an incredibly large number of small amount donors.
Secondly, Ted will need to reach a large number of low info and distracted GOP primary voters. He would need to come up with five or six summary bullet points on what he will do if he becomes president. Make sure these items really click with the average people. Keep them simple, memorable and short. Then his team will have to find a way to disseminate this information and keep pounding away.
