TED CRUZ: I’m PROUD to stand with Gov. Mike Pence!
TheRightScoop ^ | 3/30/2015 | Right Scoop

Posted on 03/30/2015 9:27:33 PM PDT by gwgn02

Unlike Scott Walker and more emphatic than Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz enthusiastically supports Gov. Mike Pence and urges all Americans to do the same:

HOUSTON, Texas — U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, issued the following statement today in support of Governor Mike Pence’s effort to defend religious liberty and protect against the government forcing individuals to violate their deeply held beliefs:

“I want to commend Governor Mike Pence for his support of religious freedom, especially in the face of fierce opposition. There was a time, not too long ago, when defending religious liberty enjoyed strong bipartisan support. Alas, today we are facing a concerted assault on the First Amendment, on the right of every American to seek out and worship God according to the dictates of his or her conscience. Governor Pence is holding the line to protect religious liberty in the Hoosier State. Indiana is giving voice to millions of courageous conservatives across this country who are deeply concerned about the ongoing attacks upon our personal liberties. I’m proud to stand with Mike, and I urge Americans to do the same.”

BOOM! No compromise. No fear.

Why does Walker suck?

As much as I would love to see Cruz win; the chances are so slim even though he is 100% right.

You can’t just win the primary for POTUS. You have to win the hearts and minds of both the center right and the right and even those who are finally seeing the light from the center left.

We need a someone who can win! Cruz is saying exactly what we want to hear but in the long run he can only win the center right to far right which is a category I proudly fit in.

We must win the Presidency this time around. I like what Cruz is doing by pulling all pubbie candidates further to the right. I have the utmost respect for him for doing this at the possible consequence of tanking his own career in politics. Mr. Cruz is one smart cookie and I believe he is doing this for the good of the country but please don’t be blinded. He knows exactly what he’s doing and why he’s doing it.

We need a conservative President. More now than ever before in my 60 years on the planet. Senator Cruz is doing his best to help pull/push the electorate to the right so this might be possible. Maybe for the last time ever because of all the immigrants who will always vote dem because they are far too stupid to do otherwise.

So it’s safe to say that Scott Walker is trying to be politically correct middle of the road in his committmemt, none commitment and of support for Mike Pence ?

Don’t trust Scott Walker.

Wanted to give him a chance, but twice this week he has shown he can’t be trusted on issues.

Him and Marco Rubio most likely they will have to be bowing out soon and let the real conservative take the helm of the ship.
The nick name fits Scott Walker, Weasle Walker, he can’t be trusted.

The Guy I would want to fight with us in a fox hole is Ted Cruz,

No Weasels Need Apply, A.W.A.L WEASELS.

Well, thank you very much, Debbie Downer. How do you know whose hearts and minds he will win? Geesh, the pessimism from you is sickening.

Cruz is wonderful and refreshing to finally see a politician that takes his oath seriously and listens to the people and follows our Constitution.

So refreshing to see a leader with the guts to take a strong, unequivocal stand, in the face of a contrived media hellstorm blowing forth. I’d grown so accustomed to just hearing such spineless mush from Republican officials, always cowering before each and every PC-tinged “boo!” from the media.

Really makes me think back and compare this to 2012, when the Chick-Fil-A “buycott” was going on, and a reporter asked Mitt Romney his opinion. Romney pathetically stammered and uttered “uh, uh, that’s not a part of my campaign.” Right then and there it showed me what a weasely coward Romney was... the very epitome of everything I despise in a politician. He couldn’t even utter a minor, middle-of-the-road kudo for people coming out and standing up for their beliefs and their values. I didn’t like the liberal, flipflopping Romney to begin with, especially due to his operatives like Madden and Stevens going around and constantly trashing Palin and the tea-party to their buds in the media... but this one incident involving the Chick-Fil-A is what finally convinced me that this was truly a man unworthy of my vote. A man I could not support.

Cruz CAN win !

Just who do you imagine, out of the rest of that pack can do better, without a LOT of base staying home?

You all misunderstand. I really want Cruz or someone with his conviction to conservative principles to win but I want to see him, whomever that might be, win both the primary and the main election against whomever the dems present.

If I had my druthers it would be Cruz all the way. Think it through though. Can Cruz win with enough votes from the moderates and those who are sick of the left’s BS? That my friends is the question.

I don’t know why some people dis Walker so much. In the primary Jeb Bush will be the person to beat. I’m so sick of the establishment GOP now. They pander to the elite and rich and shine mainstream America.

In this two step process we must keep our eye on the end goal and that is to put a conservative in the WH. Would I prefer it to be Ted Cruz? You betcha I would. Do I think Cruz can win both the primary and the main election against whomever the far left puts up there? No sir I don’t.

Maybe I’m totally wrong but what I do know is we must win this next election and not with someone like Jeb Bush. Walker is a proven winner and has been a governor. No offense toward Cruz but he just doesn’t have the managerial skills yet to hold the office of POTUS.

I know that isn’t a popular thing to say here but I’m just calling it as I see it. I truly believe a current or one time governor will make the best POTUS.

Please allow me this opinion without thinking I don’t like Cruz. Senator Cruz has plenty of time left to gain more experience; maybe even be a governor at some point.

To me the best of all worlds would be a Walker/Cruz ticket. That would give Senator Cruz some time to work into top slot and learn a thing or two from a proven winner. With some luck and good governing Mr. Cruz would also win after an 8 year hitch with Walker. I’m just pipe dreaming but what a dream, Eh!

Why can't Cruz win ? Come on post a reasonable, thoughtful reply; please.

jebbie won't be the nominee; all that donor money isn't going to win votes!

Walker, whom I once saw as second best, is a flip-flopping, shades of Romney, silent or really worse on the Indiana thing. And he never has been a forceful speaker and doesn't have the intestinal fortitude that Cruz has!

Look, if what you posted is true, name the Conservative who CAN, better than Cruz, convince others that Conservative ideology is the right path to take, in these dark days, with the world aflame, world wide economies in free fall, and who speaks so well without a teleprompter, note cards, or a mike in his ear.

Over the years, the GOP has allowed their get out the vote machine to fall apart. They have dissed the base and only offered lefty-lite candidates.

You want Cruz win? THEN STOP WHINGING AND WHINING ON THREADS AND GET OUT THERE AND TALK HIM UP TO FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND YES, EVEN STRANGERS !

First of all, Ted wouldn’t be running against a commie in the primary - but the weak-kneed RINOs. Do I think he can pull it off? You betcha I do. That is, if we can overcome the voter fraud that goes on and the open primary states. But, you know what? I’m not worried - I just feel that what will be - will be. It’s all in God’s hands, and you can bet your bottom dollar - if God wants Ted in the WH - HE will move heaven and earth to put him there. The Bible says that He puts up kings and takes them down as well. Does this mean that He allowed Obama to win the WH? I hate to say this, but yes, I do. I think Obama is part of God’s judgment upon this country for her sins, and to shake up the American people to come out of their slumber. I’m not going to say Ted needs this or Ted needs that to win - I’m not an expert - and neither is anyone on here - nor are the pundits.

“TED CRUZ: I’m PROUD to stand with Gov. Mike Pence!”

This is why he wins. He doesn’t seem to have the usually army of ‘Republican’ advisers (most of them gay, by the way). He is HIS OWN MAN.
