Quite right. The media and the homostapo with just a few hundred protesting have acted like little babies throwing a tantrum and this was a classic time for the GOP to say enough is enough and get over yourself

Watching the media act like they did and become rabid animals had no desire to give their viewers any information and instead made this about homosexuals and their rights.

Well this country was founded on religious freedom and all Pence had to say to the media was to ask them do they not believe in religious freedom and the constitution now.

The 1st amendment gives us religious freedom and now homosexuals have more rights than religion in this country now.

Words cannot even express how I feel about this agenda or how the media are

This is a war against Christians, notice how other religions were not discussed like why should a Jewish baker make a wedding cake with a NAZI emblem on it or a muslim being told to take photographs of a homosexual sham marriage?

He didn’t expect the backlash? He got plenty of warning there’d be a backlash. He simply wasn’t prepared to defend the law. His appearance on Stephanopoulous was pathetic, no wonder the state GOP senators had to step up. Mr. Pence, the libs won’t like you no matter what you say, so you might as well stand up for principle, and own it. If not, get used to life as a doormat.

Here’s your prize, Mr. Pence... a bottle of orange toner so you can be Boner’s new ideological brother.

Clinton is breaking all sorts of laws and rules, the middle east is burning and Iran is closer to a nuke and the media think this is more newsworthy because Pence went to protect freedom of religion.

It depends on the wording of the amendment. If the amendment says simply, “this law does not intend to discriminate against alphabets”, then no problem.

If it says, “business owner’s religious rights do not require strict scrutiny”, then it’s a loss for truth because then it might as well not even exist if it doesn’t reflect the RFRA at least in the area that assisted Hobby Lobby.

Pence caves to a media created crisis, he should have just taken a vacation and let the media hype quite down until the next fabricated crisis, like how women are underpaid and the education system is in crisis and needs billions more or children will suffer.

Any fix to the law has to go through the IN legislature before it gets to Pence’s desk for signature.

Any idea on how that’ll work out?

I went to bed thinking highly of Pence only to awaken to our latest “cave”man.

P.S. No insult intended of neanderthals. We know they had spines.

Individual moral views notwithstanding, freedom to choose ("discrimination") is our right and our privilege.

MLK helped give discriminating (freedom to choose) a bad name. But we as individuals have every constitutional right to choose and discriminate however we want.

The only constitutional limitation on choosing or discriminating is prohibition of STATE SEGREGATION laws against blacks (14th Amendment).

There is NO constitutional limitation on individual discrimination AT ALL.

A state can discriminate against gays or anyone else except blacks.

The GOP does it every time - bows to the media generated frenzy anytime a "victim group" comes under fire. AND frankly this "fire" is made up by the LEFT WACKOS since Bubba Klintoon signed an almost identical law back in the 1990s which no one has objected to as of yesterday. Will they ever learn? Everytime they do this I know I made the right decision to renounce my GOP affiliation and re-register as an I in 2006. I want nothing to do with the GOP.

So if a baker in Indiana doesn’t want to bake a cake for a gay marriage, is Mike Pence saying she doesn’t have the right to decline and must bake the cake???

Did Pence just turn this law for religious freedom into a gay rights bill?

Why couldn’t Pence just ask Stephanopoulos back: “George, do you think neo-Nazi clients should be able to compel Jewish painters to paint pictures of Adolf Hitler?” Why is the GOP not defending Christian artists (florists, bakers, photographers, etc — ALL of the cases so far) and the 1st Amendment? Why aren’t they reminding Marxist mediaites about the Constitution, and that speech and religion are the first rights listed?

Absolutely, Pence did a terrible job defending the law.

Discrimination is applying different standards to different people. For example, requiring whites to have IQ’s of 130 to get into M.I.T. while allowing in blacks with IQ’s of 85 is discrimination. However, if the SAME standard or law applies to EVERYONE, then there is NO discrimination. For example, requiring everyone to marry within one’s one race treats everyone the same, and thus, no discrimination, since there is no victim. Or requiring everyone who wants to marry, to marry one of the opposite sex, is NOT discriminatory, since the same law applies to all.

Unfortunately, we may have lost ALL our rights with the Fair Housing and Civil Rights laws of the 1960’s. If you can’t decide to whom you want to sell your house, you can’t complain about cakes.
