I visited Yellowstone in July 2009. I took my kids on the 7 mile hole hike (14 miles round trip). It was a great time and we were able to catch hundreds of cutthroat trout only to release them back to the wild. But the hike was very scary. In many parts of the route active gueysers shoot out of the ground. The ground in many places is hot to the touch and hot on your feet. I felt like myself and my kids were standing on top of a giant caldera that could go off at any moment.
I could not help but think that if America is judged because of our sins against God, could this be the way we "go out"?

I guess ol’Kony missed a couple pages in his history book. We already stitched the hell out of the intermountain area with underground nukes half a century ago. Nothing. No earthquakes. Maybe he had a plan to drop a nuke down Old Faithful? But that will mostly do in a bunch of overweight tourists and sleepy buffalo. He may get promoted from analyst to drunk.
