It was noted last week that the National Football League desires an additional $2.8 million in beneficial tax reductions or payments -- beneficial to them -- in addition to the perhaps as much as $30 million in enticements to bring the Super Bowl here in 2018. Mind you, any additional benefits are to be piled on top of the free hotel rooms, the paid-for police escorts, the cases of water and pounds of ice and the scented candles in each suite. I have had delivered to me, anonymously, exactly 153 pages of demands that the NFL has placed in the hands of the Super Bowl bid committee -- an astonishing document, to say the least, and one the bid committee did not want to be made public. On the one hand, we have been told that most Super Bowl bid committee payments to the league will come from private benefactors, all the better to lift up the community in the eyes of the rest of the presumably envious country, even though

Thank You, I appreciate the company. After one-too-many BS seasons the “hands up” bidness tore it for me. Enjoyed a season of Alabama foobahl and the few Navy games televised in my area.

While satire, Dallas did not see a financial benefit other than publicity from the Super Bowl. No uptick on hotel rooms, sales tax income.
Haven’t cared since the late 80s about sports.
They are going down the road of the IOC and FIFA making ridiculous demands. They will continue to make demands until enough say “no more” and they find themselves in the position of the 2022 Winter Olympics where nobody wants to bid other than crackpot dictators. Expect to see only San Francisco and Chicago offering to host.

The numbered claims are April Fools. The 153 page document of Super Bowl demands are very real and were leaked last June.
So you obviously think there's discrimination in pro sports.Too many black dudes in the NFL and NBA...too few in the NHL.So can we assume that you also believe that there are too few blacks and women on the Board of Directors at Boeing as well?
