Get real Justin. The Caddy 3.6L CTS was named CAR OF THE YEAR in 2008 and 2014 by Motor Trend Mag beating out the German brands. I don’t like the styling of this CT6 - it has softer lines, taking away the edgyness that makes the CTS standout among the kraut and rice burners on the road.

Being named car of the year and being car of the year are two different things. If it won’t sell, can’t compete, all the hype is just that, Hype.

GM just can’t make it up to the level of the Germans

I drive a 2008 CTS Premium Edition. Nice car. Next car is a BMW 335i or 535i. One thing I will miss though is being able to use 87 Octane fuel. And to another poster, I had a DRL go out on the passenger side. It’s a $250 fix because you have to remove the front fascia to get to it. So, I pulled the fuse so the driver side one stays off. Only regret is the 2008 didn’t have Bluetooth. The DI 3.6L really is zippy though. Fast and nimble car. Drove a 2015 BMW 528i and 328i. Night and day, really. BMW just builds them better. My other vehicle is a 2009 Suburban LTZ 4WD with a 6.0L engine. That is a fine piece of machinery. No one else makes such a vehicle.
