the 2014 election was the war on women.
2016 is going to be about religious freedom.
i hate to say it, the left is smarter than us when it comes to framing issues for elections.
It is much more than being smarter, with most of the media, entertainment, education system and big corporations chomping at the bit to pounce, we are at a distinct disadvantage. We are well past the point of rational discussions, for many of these folks this is similar to a religion. Continually point out their hypocrisy and use their Alinsky tactics against them.
This is merely another in a long series of battles in the culture war. Unfortunately they have been winning most of the battles. There has been some success with abortion, this is a long struggle.
It’s not about being smarter, it’s about having the megaphone. They get to set the narrative, and it’s very difficult to get truth out in the middle of mob rule.
A successful candidate must beat the narrative. We’ve done it before, it can be done. We’ve seen guys like Walker, Christie and Rick Scott beat the left’s tenacious drumbeat on the state level. We’ve seen a lot of congress and senate candidates do it in the 2010 and 2014 wave years. It takes good, media savvy candidates.

I think you meant are “willing to stoop lower” and use whatever lie or deception they need to, to accomplish their objectives; not “smarter”. They are an ends justifies the means group. Once they go too far and are caught with their hands in the cookie jar people will know who they really are and it will be the beginning of their end. Actually we are already starting to see a little of that...
We may have become a soundbyte society, but I'm not sure if its framing the issue as much as having a compliant media willing to give their particular meme endless exposure.
Repeat a lie often enough...
I hate to say it, the left is smarter than us when it comes to framing demagoguing issues for elections.
