Aint that the truth? It’s happening at a much accelerated pace it seems (although there were terrible times in biblical times as well- with some truly hedonistic societies and all sorts of religions as well- but it just seems to be rapidly happening with one religious group falling apart after another, and the ‘changing world view’ creeping into many churches
True it was pretty wicked at that time too....pagans were bringing in their leftover rituals and such which Paul needed to address time and again....also the church was very young and not fully informed or established....so that was bound to be.
...the difference is the church today has been established and it’s falling off a cliff ‘by going along’ with these ideologies and various other “Infiltrations”, rather than speak against them...and it’s the leadership that’s NOT doing so.. The result is either the church splits and or they tolerate what should not be tolerated.
